Juice Fast - Day One

Day One - Oct 19th 2012

Today's plan was a bit lousy as i didnt get time to do grocery. so i managed to do with what i had.
i will go for grocery tonight. so dinner will be served as per that.

Breakfast
Time : 9:00 am

Sweet & Sour Green

made almost 710 ml juice

Lunch

The Greenery
2 cups spinach
1 whole red bell pepper

Snacks

coffee : 2 milk 2 sugar

Ready for 30 day Juice Fast & Recipes

Planning : 

Its time to start my Juice Diet.

Last 10 days was to give it a kick start  i started off with 3 days juice fast. which went well. Last whole week i have been eating moderately. I wanted to do it early but because of the juicer i couldnt. but now that i have it , i should make a good use of it.

So as i said in my earlier blog that i have to loose 10 kgs. but i will my goal into 2.



  • Goal 1 : loose 5 kg and become 75
  • Goal 2 : Loose 10 kg and become 70.
During this juicing process i will be using Rainbow food ingredients. i.e. Red, yellow, Orange,Green, Purple colored food needs to be eaten everyday.
There will be 6 serving a day. which will include each color

Recipes :


**********************************Green Juices*********************************

Ingredients 1:
  • 1 Lemon/ ruby grapefruit/ orange/ mandarin/ tangerine
  • 1 Lime
  • 1 cup Watercress/ cucumber/ green cabbage/ spinach/ kale/ radicchio/ endive/ beetroot leaves/ rocket (arugula)/ chicory (witlof)/ collard leaves/ dandelion leaves
  • 2-3 Green Apples/ other types of apples/ pear/ kiwi/ green grapes
Ingredients 2:
  • 4 – 5 large kale leaves/ collard greens/ Swiss chard
  • 1 large handful of spinach
  • 3 romaine leaves
  • 1 cucumber
  • 3 celery stalks
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 lemon, peeled
Ingredients  3:
  • 2 small green pears
  • 1 cup kale
  • 1 cup spinach
  •  ½ cucumber

  • 1 Serrano pepper (try jalapeno for a more mild pepper)

  • 1 cup butternut squash (Australian butternut pumpkin), cubed
  • 4-6 leaves collard greens (Australian cabbage leaves) about 1 cup, packed

  • 1/2 cup cherries, pitted (about 10)/ strawberries/ raspberries/ cranberries
  • 1 cup watermelon/ pink/red grapefruit/ blood orange
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, green stem removed/ cherries/ raspberries/ cranberries

  • 1” piece of ginger
  • 4 oz coconut water (fresh or unflavored)

  • 1/4 small purple cabbage
  • 1 beetroot (beet)
  • 2 sticks of celery

Substitutions or Extras
Plums – red grapes, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries
Purple cabbage – green cabbage, silverbeet (chard), radicchio
Beetroot – carrot, radicchio, cabbage, silverbeet(chard)
Celery – spinach, cucumber, zucchini(courgette), apple, kale
Orange – lemon, grapefruit, lime, mandarin, tangerine, green apple

  • 1 large Sweet Potato
  • 1 medium Carrot

  • 3 small celery roots, ~1 cup chopped (also called celeriac)

Day Ten


Day Nine - Oct 17th , 2012

Yehhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Juicer came yesterday. I woke up early in the morning . opened the package and set it up. its much lighter than the last one i have and more compact. It also comes with a measurement container that can contain upto 800 ml of juice, which is pretty convenient. it made less mess compared to the other one and was much easy to clean.

but it took me almost 45 mins to make my juice and clean up everything. then i made my salad. i currently do not have any plan for coming days but will come up with one soon based on how good i am following it.

Any how i made my days juice in them morning. 




Ingredients:
6 Carrots
4 apples (2 yellow, 1 red , 1 green granny)
10 celery stalks
11/2 ginger cube
1 bunch of swiss chard

it made almost 1.5 ml juice out of it.

Big tall Blue glass of juice. 

Snacks
Time : 11:00 pm
1 small bowl of honeynut cereals
(wanted badly to chew something sweet and crispy)

Note: Forgot to mention last couple days i keep on sipping herbal warm tea. it keeps me full and feel less craving for things. 

Lunch
Time : 1:30 pm

1 cup lettuce
1/2 Jalepeno
1/2 Avocado
1/4 red onion
8 White Mushrooms
1/2 cup Alfalfa Sprouts
1/2 cup dressing

Day Nine

Day Nine - Oct 16th , 2012

I am guessing i should be getting my juicer in a day or 2. i need to make some changes in my diet. i dont think i am loosing anything so far.i should have lost at least 1/2 kg by now. i think those chocolates are killing me. i aint gonna buy anymore chocolate from now on. I thought of not eating at night for few days. After the yoga i feel so hungry that i cant think of anything. I feel like eating something sold and comforting. I will try tonight.i need some serious losing to do.

I couldn't stay without eating sandwich. I was super tired and damn hungry.

1 small bowl of Grapes.

Today's Inspiration
I always wanted to wear Shorts. i still do. But my leg shape are really not short friendly. Moreover my thighs are my problem zone. Apart from the fact that they are big they are not well shaped either. But i am hoping that if i loose weight and become size 8 at least then i can duel with my guts to wear one. i probably wont look like Sonakshi here but i will be happy.
